La Salle College hosts Teachers & Students from RDFZ Beijing
On Wednesday 1st February La Salle College welcomed 12 students from RDFZ, the High School associated with Remin University in Beijing. The students have been billeted by La Salle families and attend normal classes. After school hours the La Salle and Beijing students have programmes at the local Universities organised by the Exchange Programme Team at La Salle College. In April La Salle students will be hosted by RDFZ in Beijing. RDFZ is considered the top High School in Beijing with the top Form 6 student in China coming from their ranks last year and presently studying at Hong Kong University. La Salle aims to have 100% of students complete a mainland exchange programme before the end of Form 3 as commitment to our understanding of one nation two systems; unity & diversity.

Some students from the LSC Campus TV have entered a film in a short film competition organized by the Urban Renewal Authority in collaboration with the Hong Kong Academy of Motion Picture Art Alliance and Hong Kong Education City. La Salle College has been successfully shortlisted. The final winner depends on the results from public voting which runs from Feb 1st – Feb 14. Please vote now for La Salle College.

On Tuesday 31st January the Christian/De La Salle Brother's schools held their annual Sports Day at Wan Chai. Six (6) Records were broken.

La Salle Students win Gold at the Shanghai ACT National Youth Communication Challenge
The ACT National Youth Communication Show was held from the 28th - 31st January in Shanghai. Benson Lam (5G) won a Special Gold Award including a study tour to the United States, while Alex Chan (5C) was awarded a Gold Medal. ACT is a non-for-profit company that offers the American College Testing programme - the largest, most widely accepted College entrance test for US Colleges. Thank you to Mrs. Jolene Chan for her guidance and support of our boys.
La Salle College Outreach Service Team Chinese New Year Project
The second service programme of the La Salle College Outreach Service Team was held on the 19th January with the assistance of the PTA Parent Community Service Group and accompanying teachers, Mr Jim Sin and Mr Chan Tong. About 40 students from Form 3 to Form 5 visited an Elderly Centre in Chuk Yuen and helped to clean and decorate two floors of 30 units for the Chinese New Year.

La Salle College Chinese Orchestra Toronto Tour
On January 30th the La Salle College Chinese Orchestra returned from a very successful Tour to Toronto, Canada. Highlights included playing with the Toronto Chinese Orchestra, visits to the Ontario Science Centre and Niagara Falls, and many Spring Dinners especially the Spring Dinner hosted by the LSC Old Boy’s resident in Toronto. The full itinerary is included below. Appreciation is given to Mr Ng, the conductor, and Mr Lam (Teacher in Charge) for giving their time, passion, and support to the boys through this special 80th Jubilee Tour.

La Salle College beat GSIS 5:0 in the last game of the season making this one of the best seasons for many years – La Salle College 2nd Overall. Well done to the hard work and mental toughness of the players. Thank you to the coach, teachers and supporters.
